Since 1984, the distilleries of Islay have hosted the Fèis Ìle Festival, a 10-day celebration of the island, its culture, and its whisky.

Each distillery creates a single malt for the occasion. A rare release demands a unique design.

The Fèis Ìle release showcases our strategic and brand world work with Lagavulin. Together, they’re an ode to the legendary spirit of the place and people behind this powerful Scottish spirit.

The Result

Inspired by the aurora borealis on Islay, the celestial occurence was used as a metaphor for Lagavulin’s magnetic pull, with hidden details for collectors to discover and decode. The cartouche shape acting as a window into its intriguing world, while a dominant green palette enhanced by foiled highlights, evokes the intensity of Islay’s night skies.
